What a great play my editorial staff and I had the pleasure to see last week! The 39 steps is maybe the play of the month that we recommend. Of course, this play has already been performed a lot of times and there was the challenge: modernize a play which was already modern at the time when it was written. We can definitely say that the challenge is won! The actors are dynamic, hilarious and they bring the freshness which the play needed. They occupy the space in such a way that we feel as if we were where the action takes place as in Scotland or England. Moreover, the accents are so funny because they are, of course, caricatures. If you love British humour, this play is for you. It is a tribute to the original play because it has not lost its acrid humour so rush to buy your ticket!
